Abstract

Mandombe – more than a script, is a tool to change Africa's scientific and technological paradigms.2
Mandombe is a new script that emerged in Southern Africa to systematize black African thought. It provides self-esteem and an episteme of their own for the African peoples who, during all this time, have been epistemic tenants, with only Western systems as the only means in which to realize and manifest their intellectuality. It also comes to rescue African languages from the intellectual contempt to which they were relegated. In terms of scientific-technological development, Mandombe is an epistemological shortcut since it leads towards where other peoples arrived in a simpler and truly pan-African means.
